The title says it all: this is my blog about marketing and, well, stuff.
Following the well-worn advice to ‘write what you know’ the main focus is on marketing because that’s what I do for well over a third of my waking life. I’m also interested in how organisations work and how people interact as well as history, psychology, science… and that’s where the ‘stuff’ comes in.
This is a blog in the classic sense – a web-log of short articles on topics that interest me. It’s not a blog in the SEO-optimising-keyword-maximising vein that is the trend now. (A marketer who is not on-trend! Who’d have thought…)
I don’t want to write articles about ’10 ways to monetize your blog: number 9 will shock you!’ and if that’s what you to read about, then you have LOTS of choice elsewhere. In my spare time, it’s nice to forget about Google and just write for the fun of it.
